Use LastCut in Claude and ChatGPT

Connect LastCut to your AI assistant and make product videos from a chat. Ask for templates that fit a garment, hand it your product link, see exactly what the video costs, and say yes. Nothing is spent until you approve the price.

You will need a LastCut account with credits. Sign-in uses OAuth — you never paste a key or password into the assistant.

Add LastCut to Claude

Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, on the web and in the desktop app (Free accounts can add one).

  1. Open Customize → Connectors, press +, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it LastCut and paste the server URL above. Leave Advanced settings empty.
  3. Press Add, then Connect. Sign in to LastCut, choose the workspace whose credits the assistant may use, and press Allow.
  4. In a chat, open the + menu → Connectors and switch LastCut on.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web; each member then presses Connect in Customize → Connectors. See Anthropic's guide to custom connectors if a menu has moved.

Add LastCut to ChatGPT

Custom apps need developer mode, on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu, on the web. On a Business or Enterprise workspace an admin may have to allow it first.

  1. Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Plugins, press + and create an app. Name it LastCut, paste the server URL above, and choose OAuth for authentication — leave the client ID and secret empty, ChatGPT identifies itself.
  3. Sign in to LastCut, choose the workspace, and press Allow.
  4. In a chat, open the + menu → Developer modeand pick LastCut. Naming it helps: “Use LastCut to…”.

In Claude and ChatGPT the templates, the quote and the finished video appear as cards you can press — preview a template, generate from a quote, play the video.

Credits and approval

A video costs credits from the workspace you connected, the same as on lastcut.video — one credit per second of video. Before anything is spent, the assistant shows you a quote: the template, the model, which of your photos replace which piece, and the price against your balance. The video is made only when you say yes to that quote, or press Generate on its card.

  • A quote holds its price for 30 minutes. After that the assistant asks again.
  • Approving the same quote twice makes one video and charges once.
  • If a video fails, its credits come back to the workspace.
  • Credits are bought on lastcut.video, never in the chat. See pricing.

Using your own photos

Give the assistant a link to your product page, or links to the images themselves. Assistants cannot pass on photos attached to a chat, so for photos on your phone or computer ask it to add product photos: a card appears to drop them into, with a link that works for 30 minutes if you would rather upload in a browser. Photos that do not show a garment are skipped, and the assistant says which.

Only use products and photos you have the rights to.

Disconnecting

Open Connected apps in your LastCut account and press Disconnect. The assistant loses access at once. You can also remove LastCut from the assistant's own connector or app settings.

LastCut receives only what the assistant sends its tools — never your conversation. The privacy policy has the details.

Troubleshooting

  • The assistant does not use LastCut. Check it is switched on for this chat, and name it in your message.
  • “Not enough credits.” The quote still holds for 30 minutes; once the workspace has credits, say yes again.
  • The video is still making. A video takes 5–10 minutes. Ask again later, or open its page on lastcut.video.
  • The wrong workspace. Disconnect, then connect again and choose the other one.
