Connect it to your assistant and make a fashion product video without leaving the chat: it finds a template that fits your garment, imports the product from its page link, shows you the price, and makes the video when you say yes. See the quote
The assistant prices one video: the template, the model, which of your photos replaces which piece, and the credits against your balance. Nothing is spent yet.
Say yes
The video is made only when you approve that quote — in words, or by pressing Generate on its card. Ask again in ten minutes and the assistant hands you the finished video.
In Claude and ChatGPT the templates, the quote and the finished video appear as cards you can press — preview a template, generate from a quote, play the video.
Why an MCP server
The assistant does the browsing; you do the deciding
A fashion video from LastCut is a series of small decisions: which template, which model, which of your photos goes where. Those are decisions an assistant is good at walking you through — it can read your product page, describe what each template does, and ask the one question that matters. What it must not do is spend on its own. So the server draws the line where the money is: every tool that reads is open to the assistant, and the one tool that makes a video takes only a quote you have seen and approved.
For a brand that already works in Claude or ChatGPT — writing listings, planning posts, answering customers — this puts the video where the rest of the work is. Ask for templates for a garment, paste the product link, agree to the price, and carry on with the conversation while it renders.

Only create_video spends anything, and it spends from the workspace you chose when you connected. Every request re-checks that your connection is still authorised. The full reasoning behind the design is in the connector documentation.

Before you connect
Which assistants work?
Claude, on the web and in the desktop app, through a custom connector on every plan; and ChatGPT with developer mode on the web (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu). Any other MCP host that speaks OAuth can connect too. The setup for each is on the connector page.
Can the assistant spend my credits without asking?
No. The only tool that spends credits takes a quote you have already seen and agreed to, and a quote holds for 30 minutes. Approving the same quote twice makes one video and charges once.
What does LastCut see of my conversation?
Only what the assistant sends to a tool — a product link, a search, a quote id. Never the conversation itself. Disconnect at any time from Connected apps in your account.
What does a video cost from a chat?
The same as on lastcut.video: one credit per second of video, from the workspace you connected. Credits are bought on the site, not in the chat.
Is there an API?
The MCP server is the integration surface: it is what an assistant or an agent talks to. There is no separate REST API.
